It’s a huge moment for Garden today! Act 2 is now live on public mainnet, and it’s our biggest update yet. We’ve revamped the entire interface to create a snappier, quicker, and more reliable experience for all. To ease the transition, the legacy interface (Act 1) will remain up at legacy.garden.finance.

When we launched Garden over a year ago, we had a simple hypothesis: do users want a fast, trustless, and dependable way to bridge Bitcoin? With over a billion dollars in Bitcoin bridged and a growing community of passionate users, we’re confident that the answer is a resounding yes. Our core proposition is validated.

Now, it's time to level up, and that doesn’t just mean some new features and dark mode. It’s about improving every single aspect of the experience. We spent a lot of time understanding our user journies and their feedback. With Act 2, we’ve focused on creating a UI that's not only intuitive but also optimized for the future. We’ve reworked backend systems for seamless integration with new chains, assets, and wallets.

tried and tested

Before pushing Act 2 live, we knew we had to ensure that every part of the new experience was just right. We didn’t rush it. Instead, we spent the last 4 months conducting multiple phases of testing:

• Private beta: Tested with a select group from our early access program.
• Public testnet: Launched on Citrea and Monad, engaging their communities for feedback.
• Private mainnet: Launched Base and Berachain support, promoted on socials to encourage user participation and feedback. Also onboarded an integrator (see SDK section) who ran Bitcoin swaps through Act 2.

In total, 15,000+ swaps were run by over 1,100 users. Their feedback helped us spot issues early, refine the flow, and stress test the system under real-world conditions. And it’s thanks to your input that we’re here today, with an update that’s ready for prime time.

Garden’s new look is sleek, fresh, and easier on the eyes. Plus, with just a single click, you can now connect both your BTC and EVM wallets and bridge assets in less than 30 seconds.

Ever felt nervous about moving your funds cross-chain? The new Explorer is designed to give you full transparency. Track every swap, every chain, and every asset with ease. Plus, soon you’ll get a high-level analytics view to see the bigger picture of Garden’s entire ecosystem.

GardenJS

Garden’s mission has always been to bring Bitcoin to DeFi in the easiest way possible. GardenJS is the tool that makes this dream a reality, offering an easy way for developers to integrate Bitcoin into their dApps, wallets, and aggregators. OnMeta has already crossed 800 swaps using GardenJS, and we have a whole suite of developers building on our API and SDK libraries. Want to start? Check out our SDK cookbook and dive into the code.

Now that the tech is up to speed, we’re locked in to make our next strategic moves. In the coming quarters, we’ll be adding new chains, assets, and features to give you the best Bitcoin trading experience on par with centralised exchanges.
